Faith | Family | Freedom
Recently, we sat down to discuss what it really was that Albertans stood for.
What is it that they will fight to preserve? To protect. And after all the runaround, the back and forth discussion and the rambling conversations we came down to three perfect little F’bombs.
Faith.
Family.
Freedom.
List them however you want. Describe them to how it best fits you and your life because in the end each of these words have different meanings to the individual and Albertans understand that they are currently at risk of being lost.
Family, for example, has changed.
It’s no longer the classic nuclear mom, dad, 2 kids, one dog, one car and a happy white picket fence. Family has evolved to the connections, the friends, the co-workers and the people we infuse into our daily lives. These are people that we long to see, we light up when they call us and we share fond memories that will last a lifetime. Family is so different from each stage of our lives – from teenager, to young adult to grandparent.
For me, family is my immediate family – husband, child – and then an expansion outwards. Throw in a couple close friends near and across the country and that’s my family. I’ll protect those people with all my might.
For you, perhaps your family is your local social club friends, a ride-or-die best friend from childhood and your furry friend that refuses to leave your side. You’ll protect these people and K9 or feline pal with all your might.
For others, family is everyone. All the blood relatives, all the cousins, the aunties, the surrogate aunties and every welcome friend in between. They’ll protect these people with all their might.
Family doesn’t just represent the nuclear family, but the family we choose as family. Family is an extension of us not just nuclear, but all encompassing. That’s why we believe in the strength of family and the importance to maintain the freedom for Albertans to choose who they are connected to, not to further divide and break apart.
Freedom, now that’s a glorious word!
Freedom. Sovereignty. Untethered.
When you have the freedom to live, to dream, to hope, to have faith and to believe in a future for yourself and those around you, what do you imagine?
Sure, Albertans may be “free” but are they really? To what extent do Albertans truly embrace freedom and can they act upon it? Without fear.
Consider this, if Albertans were truly free, wouldn’t we be able to speak openly and share news outlet information on social media without “moderation” or “fact checkers” blocking posts? Would we have more faith in our mainstream media and the pseudo journalism at play? Would citizens actively posting and sharing photos and videos of “controversial” events be of such importance if our freedom of speech wasn’t already affected?
Would you be afraid to say out loud your concerns for the direction this country is headed? Would you have faith that your words on a Facebook post would simply be words on a Facebook post rather than a trip to jail?
And what about faith?
Faith is hope in action. Faith is a deep seated belief in something – an idea, a dream, a goal – and effort put into play to see it through.
The Alberta Prosperity Project firmly believes that, despite any resistance from government and media, as well as the challenges that will inevitably arise with Alberta’s independence, there is a spirit among Albertans that, when combined with our work ethic and dedication, we will persevere and become who we were meant to be: a free and sovereign nation.
Celebrating Who We Are.
Celebrating a robust faith in our province is precisely what’s necessary. The deep-seated knowing, that “spirit of Alberta,” holds so much potential that our people are driven to succeed for the sake of its families, its future, and for those who need our resources throughout the world. Even as Alberta is home to a very diverse population and belief systems, we “pull together” to overcome all challenges that come our way.
We are the make-it-work people. We are great collaborators that overcome challenges! We are the “can-do” people with a can-do spirit! We are Albertans. This is our land, our people, and with this knowledge, the “spirit of Alberta” takes its stand to be strong and free, forever! This is our common faith.
Faith, Family and Freedom
Let’s put our Faith in Alberta into action, so we can comfort our Families, never taking our Freedom for granted. Albertans everywhere are responding to a “call of duty” that has united us to protect all three of these values. Faith, Family and Freedom are more than a cool motto, they are the three legs of a stool that, when combined, give us strength, stability and function.
Faith, Family and Freedom are sacred, here in Alberta.

The Alberta Prosperity Project is a non-profit group that helps Albertans learn about and support Alberta’s independence. We believe Albertans should have more control over their own decisions, instead of being held back by unfair federal rules and laws. Our main goal is to achieve greater freedom, stronger rights, and a better future for all Albertans by becoming an independent nation.
We stand for personal freedom, respect for the rule of law, lower taxes, and a stronger local economy. We believe Albertans should decide how to use their own natural resources, manage their healthcare and education, and protect their rights and freedoms without federal interference.
We educate people about the possibilities, process towards secession and more through public events, information campaigns, and partnerships with community groups. The APP does not support violence or illegal activity of any kind.
Our mission is to help Albertans understand what sovereignty and independence could look like and why it could lead to a more fair and prosperous province for future generations.
