We are not a political party nor are we an organization structured to allow direct control of the board or the project by the APP membership.
The purpose of APP membership is to allow members by virtue of their membership to participate in APP activities and to communicate to the Government of Alberta your commitment to a free and independent Alberta.
The organization was structured this way to ensure that the all too frequent disruptions of independence/autonomy/sovereignty oriented groups or political entities by individuals wanting to “be in control” or wanting to waste time arguing over synonyms do not disrupt the important work of educating Albertans on the benefits of Independence, autonomy, freedom, and sovereignty either within or outside of Canada.
APP Membership are not entitled to request to see the financial records of the APP or APS. APP Membership entitles members to attend meetings, obtain educational materials, and gain access to our membership network. It does not permit members direct input into to business and affairs of the Alberta Prosperity Society which is a stand alone entity that funds and supports the important work and membership of the Alberta Prosperity Project.
Make no mistake – the commitment to Alberta independence you demonstrate through your membership is crucial. Politicians knowing that a committed group of thousands of Albertans exists dedicated to freedom and independence is shaping the future of this province.
The Alberta Sovereignty Act is a crucial FIRST recognition of APP and its members.
We still have a long way to go.
We need to be united and keep the momentum toward a free and independent Alberta moving ever forward!
Best Regards to my fellow Albertans,
Jeffrey R.W. Rath
Vice President and General Council
Alberta Prosperity Society
