Dear Members of the Alberta Prosperity Project,
We want to apologize for the inappropriate email that was sent to you yesterday by three of our former Operational Team volunteers. With that said, we respect their decision to resign, and we wish them well in their future endeavors.
The Alberta Prosperity Project has always and will continue to be committed to protecting Alberta’s Freedom and Prosperity – whether that is within or outside of confederation. We believe Alberta needs to stand up for itself and say enough is enough, and chart its own course forward.
For Alberta to do this we need hundreds of thousands of Albertans to support our movement to protect Alberta’s prosperity. We’ve spoken to thousands of people, businesses, and organizations, and what has become clear is that the term “independence” is seen as a step into the unknown which frightens many Albertans.
While supportive of the APP vision, many Albertans have been reluctant to become members of APP because they do not see themselves as “Alberta separatists” and believe that Alberta’s prosperity can be protected within Canada. Hence, the necessity for APP’s educational mission.
At our events, many of our speakers have gone into great detail about why it is almost impossible to protect Alberta’s prosperity within the current constructs of confederation.
One thing is certain, we need a successful referendum to restructure Alberta’s relationship with Canada. Only a successful referendum will empower the Alberta Government to negotiate a new deal for Albertans. If Ottawa refuses to negotiate in good faith then the Alberta government has the right to chart a new path forward for Albertans.
We strongly believe that we are in a battle between good and evil. There are forces at work here beyond what we see. We are committed. We will not give up, and we will not back down! THIS IS OUR HILL! Freedom is not Free!
So be encouraged my friends, we will continue to unite to defend all Albertans’ freedom and prosperity! That is our mission and our passion, and that has not changed!
“Freedom is a fragile thing and it’s never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by way of inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. And those in world history who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again.” (Ronald Regan January 1967)
APP is more than a CEO, a board of directors, a leader or any one volunteer. It is each and every one of us united for our future. Thank you for your continued patience and support as we move forward together.
Yours in supporting Albertans.
